Andrew Moore (1968)

Andrew Moore is an experienced lean consultant having spent more than 15 years implementing Lean in both large and small organizations across many industries – actively practicing, studying and implementing lean both as a manager and advising consultant. He established his own consultancy and founded the Bigfish Lean Training Company; he recently joined TAKT Group in 2009. He has worked on over 100 Lean improvement projects across multiple industry sectors including; education, service, local authority, social housing, construction, boatbuilding, automotive, steel, and furniture.

Andrew has experience of using most Lean tools and techniques and also has a keen interest in the subject of Change Management, which he brings to bear on his client’s projects to great effect. Some of the companies Andrew has worked with include: Unite Group PLC, Rolls Royce, Saint Gobain, BAA, Warings, DFS, Sealine, Westminster City Council, Thomas Vale Construction, Yorkshire Water, SEMTA, Total, and many more.

Implementing lean can be like changing a wheel on a moving car and because of the difficulty, the temptation is to carry on running in-efficiently, until eventually you breakdown. However with help and encouragement, the wheel can be changed and the car does not have to stop and companies can realise the benefits of optimum driving conditions.
