Lucas van Manen (1962)
Lucas started his consultancy and project management activities in 1991 with Pim Fortuyn's OV Studenkaart BV. He then developed his fascination for and started to work with efficiency in organizations. He also got involved with the sociocratic method where he and his team members developed the consent game which is globally used in sociocracy courses and trainings. After joining Philips in 1995 he specialised in project and process management working for Shell Oil, the Dutch Ministry of Defense, Raytheon, AkzoNobel, Eneco, Metso Paper, ING and the Dutch Justice Department. His first mission that involved Lean Management was in 2008 with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.
